Sea · Labuan BajoKomodo boat day with Joy Komodo Tour from Labuan Bajo.

Most people land in Labuan Bajo already thinking about a boat. They have seen Padar on a screen, or a dragon on a trail, and they want one day on the water that actually goes there. Joy Komodo Tour’s Komodo boat day is that route: Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo with a ranger, Taka Makassar, Manta Point, and Siaba. Same stops whether you go as a day trip, join an open trip, or sleep on the boat for two or three nights.
This is a blog note. It will not sell you a fare, a cabin plan, or a WhatsApp number we have not published. If you already know the dates, skip to the contact form. If you want the package page, that lives under sea trip.
Leaving the harbour
The day starts in Labuan Bajo, not in the park. You board, you leave the harbour, and the first hours are just water and islands stacking on the horizon. How early you leave, and how long you stay at each stop, depends on sea conditions and park rules that morning. Nothing on this site pretends those times are fixed.
What is fixed is the list of places. Joy Komodo Tour does not add “secret islands” here. If a stop is named, it is one of the six below. If a boat skips one, it is usually weather or a ranger decision — not a different itinerary we forgot to write.

Day trip, open trip, or liveaboard
Three formats, one map. A day trip is out in the morning and back the same evening. An open trip is the same loop, shared with other guests — group size is not listed, so do not assume it is private. A liveaboard keeps you on the boat for two or three days between those same stops. Cabin layout, meals, and snorkel gear are not itemised here; ask when you write.
There is no calendar on this page. You send a window. Joy Komodo Tour answers from the contact form. If you need a private boat, say so in that message rather than hoping an open trip empties out.
The six stops, in plain language
Padar Island
You climb for the view: three bays, dry grass, a ridge that photographs well. The walk is short compared with the rest of the day, but the ground is loose. Time on top depends on tide and how many boats are already there.
Pink Beach
Pink sand, then snorkel. The colour shifts with light and weather. How long you stay in the water is not a published number — it is whatever the skipper can spare after Padar and before Komodo.
Komodo, with a ranger
This is the dragon walk. You do not go without a ranger. Park rules apply, and the length of the trail is not listed on this site. You may see dragons. You may walk in heat and see less. Either way, it is the stop people came for.
Taka Makassar
A white sandbar that grows and shrinks with the tide. Sometimes it is a long spit. Sometimes it is a short pause. Treat it as a named place, not a guaranteed picnic.
Manta Point
Snorkel water where manta rays are sometimes seen. Sometimes is the honest word. If the current is wrong, the boat does not linger. Nobody can promise a manta from a blog.
Siaba Island
More snorkelling, turtles often mentioned. Same rule as Manta Point: a named site, not a wildlife guarantee. After Siaba the day bends back toward Labuan Bajo.
If you want to go
Write the format — day trip, open trip, or liveaboard — and the dates you can travel. Pricing is not on this site. WhatsApp 0821-9194-3038. The form on contact is the path that exists. The sea trip package repeats this itinerary in commercial shape if you would rather start there.
